The Beechworth Men’s Shed in north eastern Victoria put on a remarkable celebration for the launch of their new Men’s Shed. The weather was perfect and the Shed in its stunning setting looked fantastic. Around 160 people from the local and regional area participated. George Kelly, President of the Irish Men’s Shed Association came up to the event with Barry Golding (who spoke at the event) and congratulated the community on its incredibly valuable resource. Barry Golding thanked the Beechworth Men’s Sheds Committee for the warm welcome back to Beechworth and acknowledged the important early energy and vision given to the Shed idea by Judy Lazarus. it was great to see Don Hodges, a pioneer of the Mansfield Men’s Shed with Paul Sladdin back to enjoy the opening. Well done to all concerned!
